Why are orphan drugs so expensive? Comparing the costs of FDA-approved medicines
A new study published in Healthcare evaluates the factors associated with differences in treatment costs for orphan and non-orphan drugs in the United States.

This study aims to shed light on the specific factors behind this cost difference, comparing orphan and non-orphan drugs approved by the FDA from 2017-2021.
